ANDREA PICANZA

Andrea Picanza is an Associate and registered architect at Elevation Architecture in Brisbane, having joined the practice in 2023. He is a registered architect in both Queensland and Italy, holding a Bachelor of Design (Architecture) and a Master of Architecture.

Andrea began his career in the luxury retail sector in Europe, where he developed a meticulous eye for detail, delivering major flagship project for brands such as Gucci and Burberry. He moved to Australia in 2009 and expanding his practice into high-end residential and educational projects.

Over his 20 years in the profession he has worked across a broad range of project types and scales, from high-end residential new builds and renovations to large-scale educational, commercial and retail and interiors work.

Andrea's approach centres on balancing strong creative vision with the practical realities of designing for multiple stakeholders. He enjoys the problem-solving side of the job, especially challenges around on-site construction, and takes a collaborative approach with clients, consultants and builders to achieve carefully considered, elegant built outcomes.

Outside of work, Andrea enjoys spending time with his wife and children, going to the beach and cooking at home.
