PATRICIA STREET TOWNHOUSES
Our client engaged Elevation to design Patricia Street Townhouses with the requirement that the development maximise site yield and comply with Brisbane City’s Council’s traditional building character overlay. (Our client had purchased the site from a previous owner whose application for seven townhouses was rejected by Council due to over-development and strong opposition from neighbours.)
Working under strict timeframes, we designed five two-storey townhouses configured around central driveway access. The street front has stepped boundary walls and the townhouses are in an upmarket Queenslander-style with gable-end roofs and timber detail.
Through planning and design, and effective and collaborative communication, we conciliated neighbours and mitigated Council’s concerns over the height and bulk of the development. We delivered the attractive residential development in a short timeframe and maximised investment return for our client.
