GREENWICH CHEVRON ISLAND

Greenwich Chevron Island, designed by Ferro Chow, is defined by a clear architectural idea and a disciplined approach to seeing it through. On Chevron Island, one of the Gold Coast's most closely watched neighbourhoods, the project brings a fresh perspective to multi-residential design.
At its centre is a bold move. A free-form, concave façade that reads as one continuous surface, curving and catching the light in ways that shift throughout the day so the building never feels static. There's a quiet confidence to it. The form is enough.
That clarity came with complexity. Early testing made it clear that conventional construction methods wouldn't achieve the geometry or finish the design required, so the process had to evolve. Parametric modelling became central, allowing the façade to be explored, tested and refined in detail before construction began.
From there, the project was shaped through close collaboration between architect, engineer, builder and fabricators, particularly where the façade meets the glazing. These junctions demanded precision to ensure performance, durability and a seamless visual outcome.
A key shift came through simplifying the system without losing its intent. The façade was broken into repeatable elements, creating consistency across fabrication and installation. Specialist fabricators, bringing experience from outside traditional construction pathways, played an important role in translating the complex geometry into a buildable solution.
Inside, the same thinking continues. Apartments are designed around natural light, outlook and a sense of openness, with the relationship between structure, façade and glazing feeling resolved and cohesive rather than layered.
Greenwich Chevron Island holds onto a strong idea and follows it through with care and rigour. It's a project that shows what's possible when design ambition is matched with the right process and the right collaborators.
With Ferro Chow now part of Elevation Architecture, this kind of design thinking and technical expertise strengthens what we're able to offer our clients.
