SPRING NARANGBA

Spring Narangba is an early learning centre designed to nurture 125 children in a place that feels both contemporary and deeply connected to its Queensland context. Elevation refined the original concept for a new operator, then delivered the project through Building Approval and Construction Documentation to completion. Sited on a 2,969m² block with 911.1m² of floor area, the centre's material language reflects the region it sits in: a considered mix of metal cladding, weatherboard, brick and light fibre cement, all tied together by a 2.4-metre datum line that wraps the building's perimeter. Passive design principles, natural light, cross-ventilation and considered shading keep the building comfortable and efficient, while the gatehouse is designed for natural surveillance and a genuine connection to the street, so families feel welcomed from the moment they arrive.
