CONCORDIA LUTHERAN COLLEGE MASTERPLAN: STAGE 1&2 – JUNIOR PRECINCT

We're celebrating the completion and opening of Stages One and Two of Concordia Lutheran College's ten-stage Masterplan — with the Junior Precinct now complete, supporting learning for Prep to Yr 6. Stage One delivered the precinct's first single-storey learning hubs, establishing the scale, materials and character that now define the campus. The completed work was recognised at the 2026 Downs & Western Housing & Construction Awards, where the project took out Best Education Facility ($7–15 million) — a credit to a strong, collaborative team including builder Watcon Building Group and the wider project group, alongside Concordia Lutheran College. Stage Two builds directly on that foundation with a single two-storey building of eight classrooms distributed evenly across two floors. Adjoining classrooms are separated by operable sliding walls, so each pair can function independently or open up into a single larger composite teaching space, while flexible Commons areas support a range of learning activities alongside them. Although two storeys, the building has been deliberately designed to match the scale, materials and character of the Stage One hubs, so the precinct reads as one cohesive whole.
