ARCARE SPRINGWOOD

Located in Brisbane’s south, Arcare Springwood is a premium aged care residence designed to embody warmth, dignity, and connection. The development provides a range of private suites within a refined, hotel-style environment that prioritises comfort, community, and long-term liveability. Elevation Architecture’s design response was guided by Arcare’s Relationship-First philosophy, balancing privacy and connection through a series of intimate courtyard clusters and communal gathering spaces. Each suite has direct access to natural light and landscaped outlooks, while the communal areas such as the café, theatre, salon, and private dining rooms, offer opportunities for daily engagement and social interaction. Natural materials, soft tones, and layered textures create a calming, residential aesthetic. The building embraces its bushland context, with visual and physical connections to the surrounding landscape maintained through large glazed openings and verandahs. Passive design strategies maximise daylight, promote cross-ventilation, and enhance the sense of openness. Opening in 2026, a new extension will expand the residence with 76 additional rooms with a mixture of premium suites, large outdoor courtyards, and a dedicated playground to encourage family connection will take the facility up to 180 rooms in total.
