SHORTLAND STREET REFURBISHMENT

Elevation was engaged to refurbish a dated commercial office building in the heart of Auckland and modernise its facade and public areas. The scope included activating the street entry and creating a space for a new café tenancy, as well as renovations to the existing lift cars and lift lobbies to carry a fresh new feel throughout the building. We introduced timber battening and complementary signage to activate the front entry. Inside, the high ceilings and feature lighting evokes a sense of grandeur, and timber panelling breaks up the space and creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. Designed for patrons to feel at home and at ease, the cafe has timber, white tiles and warm lighting, offering an intimate and relaxing ambience. Shortland Street was an exciting project for the Elevation team to be a part of and represents only one of the international projects in the office that we’ve had the privilege of being involved with.
