Multinail Office Development

Multinail was a proposal for a 2000m2 commercial office building located in Stapylton, south of Brisbane. Elevation Architecture were engaged to develop concept designs for both the external facade treatment and internal fit-out design. The client’s brief was to develop a high quality, rational work environment for staff and prospective clients to utilise. Elevation Architecture have delivered this via considered planning, detailed modelling and visualisation. Construction was completed in 2017.

The scope of this project involved extensive refurbishment to several spaces, including the entry foyer, kitchen facilities, Sunday school room and meeting spaces, in conjunction with new signage throughout.

A major priority was to transform the entry foyer into a warm and welcoming environment. In order to achieve this and to create a visual cue to the church’s identity, we introduced timber veneer panelling, a reception desk and a back lit cross which would be viewable from the prominent Ann Street. This project was vastly successful in creating flexible spaces to accommodate various purposes, activities and user groups within the church.

As there was an event which was scheduled, majority of the works were to be completed within a short timeframe. Our collaborative efforts with the builder and Fitout team facilitated in overcoming this constraint. We were able to overcome the difficulty of using concrete-look tiles in the foyer, by having the builder grind the slab down in addition to grinding the tiles down, prior to laying them. We believe this completes the elegant look of the space.

The desired project objectives and deadlines were achieved, which was facilitated through consistent dialogue and close collaboration with both the Client and Contractor throughout the design, documentation and construction processes. We have received fantastic feedback from church members, who are thrilled with the outcomes of the refurbishment.

The brief was to elevate the branding and positioning of Delightful Donuts – creating a premium, coffee house feel whilst still giving prominence to their donuts.

We responded by using natural textures, combining the warmth of timber with stainless steel, glass and dark cabinetry. Careful internal design was required in order to maximise the flexibility of the available space.

Innovative detailing, including a display window for coffee beans and purpose-designed storage nooks are further surprise-and-delight elements which enhance the user experience.

This exciting project involves an extensive refurbishment of the foyer of a commercial office building located in the heart of the Auckland CBD. The refurbishment includes a new café kiosk and a raised café seating area addressing Shortland St, a new entry canopy roof, and renovations to the existing lift cars and lift lobbies. This project is currently in the building consent process.
